-    although paint may dry to touch in an hour, or so, it takes a few weeks for it to fully cure, or harden.  So if Junior smears jam on the wall, leave it sit for this initial period.

-    if undertaking a painting project yourself, consider going with various recylcables.  For example, instead of buying new canvas dropsheets (both expensive and industry-impacting on the environment), check the local charity-based thrift shops for used drapery materials, at a tenth the price and equally effective as dropsheets.

 

-    these days, one can use latex paints for almost all applications.  There is practically no need for oil or alkyd based paints.  Good news for our health, as well as the environment.
